The Lipinsky Family San Diego Jewish Arts Festival presentsThe Whole Megillah New Play Festival. The Whole Megillah celebrates new plays that are “unapologetically” Jewish and express the entire gamut of Jewish ideas, affiliations, and experiences.
This new musical features 15 original klezmer inspired songs by Yale Strom and tells the story of Marc and Bella Chagall composing paintings, mystical stories, and a new life as they are forced to flee their beloved Vitebsk and Gordes before they journey to the shores of America. A celebration of their love, creativity, and blossoming artistic voices as they settle in a new land.
