About the Event
There were Jews in the 19th and early 20th centuries, some well known, some less known, who were liberal thinkers and activists and anarchists. We’ll explore music that expressed what they were working for, as well as related material. Bring your singing chops, you’ll know some of the songs, and you’re invited to hum or sing along.
The event is free; donations are welcome. This is an in person event (not accessible remotely). Registration is not required.
Chicagoan Steve Gibons is a violinist who plays Jazz and traditional folk music from all over the world.
