Benyumen Shekhter Foundation now accepting grant proposals

The Benyumen Shekhter Foundation for the Advancement of Standard Yiddish is now accepting grant proposals.

We are seeking well-structured initiatives that encourage people to actively speak, read and write in Yiddish.

Previous projects have included online Yiddish classes, Yiddish immersion retreats, dictionaries and textbooks.

Grants generally range from $1,000-3,000.

The deadline to submit applications is no later than Friday, August 23, 2019.

All applications should be written in Yiddish and include the following information:

  1. a summary of the project
  2. the names and brief bios of the individuals involved in the project
  3. a budget, including other projected sources of funding
  4. sources of other subsidies already received
  5. the requested amount of funding.
